Natur-elle designs and produces baby, kids & lifestyle products made of organic fabrics. Our products exist of minimal 95% of certified (GOTS) organic cotton. The ribbons, sewing yarn, etc. are not always organic but represent only a few percentage of the whole product. That is why we in all fairness are speaking of 95%.
What is organic cotton?
Cotton is a wonderful wearable natural fiber. Clear white cotton is being considered pre-eminently as a natural product, but in fact it is more environment unfriendly than most synthetic fabrics. After coffee, cotton is the plant for which most pesticides are being used. Cotton growth is about 2,4 percent of all cultivated land, but uses 25 percent of all pesticides and 10 percent of all weed-killers.
Fair
Except for green Natur-elle stands also for fair. Meaning that we find it very important that our fabrics and products are being produced under fair and safe working circumstances and that a fair price is being paid for production. Because of this reason our collections, which are being made of 100% organic cotton, are being produced in sewing ateliers in Europe.
At this moment our products are being produced in sewing rooms in Poland, the Netherlands and Turkey. This last sewing atelier is certified by GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standards) in which also social standards are included. The GOTS-label is attached to our products, which are made in this Turkish atelier.
So you can be sure that our products are being produced under fair and safe working circumstances.
